In light of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, we thought it might be the perfect time to highlight a few of the women at BeHome247 who are so instrumental in driving change and reimagining the PropTech industry.

The Operations Orchestrator

Years ago, while working at a vacation rental company, Ali Lauria, Director of Operations, was tasked with replacing their outdated system with BeHome247’s platform. Although initially unsure about stepping into a tech-focused role, she immediately saw BeHome247’s potential after an impactful demo. That experience launched her career in tech, where she now thrives surrounded by leaders who support her success and champion inclusivity and innovation.

“This environment has pushed me to grow beyond my comfort zone, develop new skills, and gain confidence in my expertise. Today, she finds fulfillment in helping property management operators solve their challenges, achieve success, and share in their excitement as they transition to a new standard of operations with BeHome247.

“After a decade in the industry, I understand the blood, sweat, and tears that go into running a property management company. Every company operates differently, but we all experience the same challenges. I love being able to listen to their pain points and offer real solutions. Seeing the excitement during onboarding and knowing how much BeHome247 will improve their world—that’s what drives me.”

As a woman in tech, Dawn Frazier, National Account Director, understands the unique challenges in this fast-paced, dynamic industry. With two decades of experience in hospitality, transitioning into #PropTech was both an exciting challenge and a natural evolution in her career. The experience has reinforced her ability to embrace change, think strategically, and continuously grow in her profession.

“One of the best pieces of advice I’ve received, and one I now pass on, is that as women, we often overanalyze and second-guess ourselves. In tech, things move fast, and hesitation can be a roadblock. My advice is to trust yourself, forge ahead, and don’t let self-doubt stand in your way. The more you push forward, the more you’ll realize you’re just as capable and deserving of a place in this industry as anyone else,” says Frazier.

In her role, staying connected to the latest advancements in property management technology ensures her ability to help clients optimize their operations and streamline their tech stacks. “Knowing that we’re providing a solution that helps them operate more efficiently is a win not just for them, but for me as well. Each successful onboarding is a tangible sign of growth and impact, making every day in this industry fulfilling.”

The Client Advocate

Like many women in the industry, Emma Koen, National Account Manager, never envisioned a life in PropTech. Despite working with various technologies and platforms in previous roles, “I doubted whether I truly belonged in this space,” says Koen. Joining BeHome247 changed her perspective. “The team’s encouragement and collaborative culture have given me the confidence to embrace my role in technology and continue advancing my career,” adds Koen. 

Koen vividly remembers when everything relied on paper—checklists, daily task assignments, invoicing, you name it. Now, with automation and digital tools streamlining operations, she can focus more on efficiency and innovation rather than being buried in paperwork. 

She’s also seen firsthand BeHome247’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. 

“Hiring a female Director of Operations is a great example of how the company is committed to providing opportunities for women in tech. A career in technology comes with growth, learning, and challenges—but that’s what makes it exciting!” 

The Brand Sheriff

Working at BeHome247 has been a transformative experience for Taylor Black, Director of Marketing, and she’s welcomed the opportunity to bridge her passion for marketing with the dynamic world of technology.

“The collaborative environment, particularly with Marketing, Operations, and Sales, has allowed us to achieve some truly amazing things together. Having company-wide visibility has been invaluable to the marketing efforts. This sense of teamwork creates a supportive atmosphere where everyone feels empowered to grow and succeed,” says Black.

One of her most memorable experiences was showcasing BeHome247’s Guest Connect platform at a PMI Conference. 

“We set up an in-hand demo of BeHome247’s Guest Connect platform for all attendees to experience over the 3-4 days of the conference. It was incredible. We pre-set all automated messages, guides, and details in the platform before watching BeHome247 work its magic. Attendees were able to view exactly what their future guests will experience and just how dynamic BeHome247 really is. Working on this project really highlighted the innovative spirit of our team and overall the company’s collaborative culture,” adds Black.

Yet another milestone is the launch of BeHome247 Academy, the company’s new Learning Management System (BeHome247 Academy). 

“Collaborating with Ali, BeHome247’s Director of Operations, on a tool that will serve not only our customers but further support our account managers throughout onboarding and continuing education as BeHome247 launches new features, will only enhance the BeHome247 customer experience. Giving our customers the resources they need to support their own teams is a priority for us, and I’m excited to keep building creative solutions!”

The Problem Solver

When Kyla Miller, Customer Success Manager, started in property management over a decade ago, daily operations were a far cry from what they are today. Like Koen, she remembers when everything was heavily reliant on paper—check-ins were highlighted in different colors, maintenance requests were written on slips of paper, and technology was spread across multiple platforms. In 2016, everything changed when her company implemented BeHome247. “Suddenly, we could track cleaning statuses, monitor maintenance needs, and communicate with guests, all in one integrated platform. It was a game-changer,” says Miller.

Now, as part of the BeHome247 team, she sees the system from a new perspective. 

“Having worked as a property manager myself, I understand the challenges they face. I know what it’s like to juggle multiple tasks at once.” That firsthand experience allows her to provide more effective support and ensure that BeHome247’s technology truly streamlines operations. “Seeing how far we’ve come—from paper-heavy processes to real-time, tech-enabled efficiency—is incredible, and I love helping others experience that transformation.”

The Tech Whisperer

Throughout her property management career, Val Carter, Technical Support Specialist, has been fortunate to have incredible women role models who have guided and shaped her growth. “Since joining BeHome247, I’ve been especially grateful for the support of my direct supervisor, Kyla, and Ali. Their leadership, along with the company’s culture, has empowered me to thrive in the PropTech space” says Carter.

As her family grows and she prepares for the arrival of her first baby, she’s grateful for the support from her colleagues at BeHome247. “Their flexibility and encouragement during this exciting time means so much. I’m truly grateful to be part of a company that values both career and family.”

The Financial Steward

As the first female employee at BeHome247, Alicia Smart, Billing Coordinator, has consistently witnessed the company’s welcoming environment for women in tech. The company encourages them to thrive by providing fulfilling roles with plenty of growth opportunities.

“As a remote company, BeHome247 has offered me the flexibility I needed to be a successful working mom of three!” says Smart. Juggling career ambitions and family life is no small feat, but with the support of her team, she has been able to do just that.  “I’ve had the opportunity to advance my experience in the SaaS industry, finish my degree as a technical writer, and continue to be available to family,” says Smart.
